From July 1, vehicles entering China must buy insurance

On June 23, the Border Management Center under the Management Board of Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone cooperated with the competent forces at Tan Thanh border gate to discuss with the Management Board of the gate economic zone HuuNghiQuan, Pingxiang, China. The Chinese side said to prevent risks in the process of transporting goods, starting from July 1, 2020, all Vietnamese vehicles entering China must buy vehicle insurance for 86 yuan (about VND300,000/vehicle/seven days) at all border gates and apply it at Po Chai border gate (Bang Tuong - China).
The Management Board of Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone said that buying insurance to transport goods to China is one of the measures to prevent risks during the transport process. Import and export goods should be unified to enhance the informationto businesses to coordinate implementation.
Accordingly, based on the actual situation and related regulations, the Management Board of Dong Dang-Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone proposed departments, branches and functional forces in Lang Son province to study the feasibility and consider proposals to make similar requirements for Chinese vehicles enteringVietnam through the border gates in the province of Lang Son and implement an immediate trial at HuuNghi international border gate.
In order for enterprises and traders to have import and export activities through border gates in Lang Son province, the People's Committee of Lang Son province requests the Customs - Lang Son border gate to direct border gate units to inform enterprises and coordinate to comply with the recommendations of the Chinese side. The People's Committee of Lang Son province also assigned the Management Board of Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone to coordinate with the Lang Son Provincial Post Office and relevant agencies to study the trial insurance of Chinese means of transporting goods to Vietnam through HuuNghi international border gate.
