From January 1, temporary import and re-export goods are carried out through international border gates and main border gates

This is part of Circular No. 09/2020/TT-BCT of the Ministry of Industry and Trade regulating the roadmap for application of import and export border gates for goods temporarily imported and re-export, transshipment, and deposited into bonded warehouses.
Accordingly, from January 1, 2021, if goods are temporarily imported and re-exported or transshipment, if imported into or re-exported out of Vietnam across the land border, it will only be implemented through international border gates, the main border gate (bilateral border gate) is opened in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 112/2014/ND-CP dated November 21, 2014 of the Government on land border gate management.
Regulations also apply to foreign goods temporarily imported and re-exported that are deposited in bonded warehouses if the goods are imported into or re-exported out of Vietnam across land borders.
In order to coordinate in implementing the Circular No. 09/2020/TT-BCT as mentioned above, the Import and Export Department (the Ministry of Industry and Trade) requested enterprises operating temporary import and re-export goods, transshipment, deposited into bonded warehouse shall strictly comply with the provisions of Circular No. 09/2020/TT-BCT and other relevant legal documents.
Departments of Industry and Trade of 25 border provinces/cities provide information and guidance for businesses operating import or re-export goods through their localities to seriously implement Circular No. 09/2020 / TT-BCT
At the same time, closely coordinating with local authorities to strengthen management, promptly report and recommend handling measures to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Provincial People's Committee when difficulties and problems arise for handling.
