According to the General Department of Taxation (GDT), the tax sector has effectively managed taxes on e-commerce and digital platform businesses in the first half of 2024.
In the first six months of 2024, 26 new foreign suppliers registered, filed tax returns, and paid taxes in Vietnam through the Electronic Portal for Foreign Suppliers. This brings the total number of registered foreign suppliers to 101 which come from many countries such as the USA, Netherlands; South Korea; Singapore; Hong Kong (China); Ireland; Switzerland, Australia; United Kingdom; Switzerland,
The total tax revenue collected from foreign suppliers through the Electronic Portal during the first half of the year amounted to VND 4,039 billion, reflecting an 18.5% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
The number of e-commerce platforms providing information on the Electronic Portal has reached 383, marking an increase of 22 platforms compared to the end of 2023.
