Exporting phone and component to India grows 102%

According to General Department of Vietnam Customs, from the beginning of 2024 until August 15^th,

the total export value of phones and components reached US$34.8 billion, an increase of US$3.48 billion (equivalent to an 11.1% increase).

Currently, phones and components are the second largest export group of Vietnam. As of August 15th, this group alone accounted for 14.24% of the country's total export value.

In terms of markets, exports of various types of phones and components are mainly to markets such as China with US$7.4 billion (updated to the end of July), up 1.1% compared to the same period last year; the US with US$6.49 billion, up 31.9%; EU with US$5.06 billion, up 2.2%; South Korea with US$2.18 billion, up 7.2%; the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with US$2.01 billion, up 68.7%...

Notably, exports of this product group to the Indian market increased by a triple-digit figure with a value of US$1.15 billion, up 102% compared to the same period last year.

Phones and components alone account for 21.5% of Vietnam's total export value to India over the past 7 months.

Other important export groups to the Indian market include: computers and components at US$943 million; machinery, equipment, spare parts at US$507 million; common metals and products at US$343 million..."
