The Electronic Tax Service system adds more functions than the old tax filing and payment system.

More functions

Implementing the plan to expand the eTax System, the General Department of Taxation has put the eTax system into operation in 45 provinces and cities.

In November 2019, the General Department of Taxation implemented the eTax system for the remaining 18 provinces and cities including Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong, Can Tho, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Long An, Dong Thap, Tien Giang, An Giang, Ben Tre, Vinh Long, Tra Vinh, HauGiang, KienGiang, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu and Ca Mau. Meanwhile, the eTax system will be deployed nationwide to completely replace the old tax filing and payment system.

Specifically, from November 25, 2019, taxpayers in the 18 provinces and cities mentioned above will stop using the electronic tax filing system (nhantokhai.gdt.gov.vn) and electronic tax payment (nopthue.gdt.gov.vn) to switch to the electronic tax service system eTax (thuedientu.gdt.gov.vn).

According to the General Department of Taxation, the Electronic Tax Service system includesmore functions than the old electronic tax filing and payment system. Accordingly, the business section of the Electronic Tax Service system fully meets the functions of the Electronic Tax Filing (nhantokhai.gdt.gov.vn) and Electronic Tax payment systems.

At the same time, businesses access the eTax system, which is easy and convenient to use, the tax declaration and payment on e Tax is designed to be similar and fully responsive like the tax declaration system and electronic tax payment at nhantokhai.gdt.gov.vn and nopthue.gdt.gov.vn that businesses previously used.

In addition, the Electronic Tax Service system adds the functions of managing business accounts, looking up tax obligations, looking up payable tax amounts, asking questions and registering electronic tax. The personal section of the Electronic Tax Service system allows an individual to file a tax return for the leasing of assets and finalization of personal income tax.

More favorable for taxpayers

Notably, with the new system, taxpayers can access and manage all electronic tax services on a single system instead of having to log into many different applications as before.

With the Electronic Tax Service system, taxpayers only have to log into one system to use all services, manage all tax records without changing the website address or logging inagain. This will help taxpayers easily complete the steps in the tax declaration, payment, reimbursement, lookup process records and tax obligations.

At the same time, the Electronic Tax Service System allows taxpayers to manage their login accounts. For businesses that have transacted with tax authorities on the Tax Filing, Electronic Tax payment systems (already have transaction accounts), all information about the transaction account and taxpayer's records will be transferred to the eTax system to continue using services of the Tax Agency without having to register again. Access method is as follows:

In case the user has the password of the previous electronic payment system at the website www.nopthue.gdt.gov.vn, log in to eTax with the account: MST-QL (for example: 0100231226-QL ), password is the password to log into the Electronic Tax payment system to use all services: Tax declaration; Tax refund; Taxpayer; Search; Manage and decentralize accounts. From this account, it is possible to create and decentralize sub-accounts (decentralized according to the function) depending on the management requirements of the enterprise, the method of decentralizing the taxpayer can be downloaded in the manual application.

In case the user has the password of the electronic tax return system previously used at the website www.nhantokhai.gdt.gov.vn, log in to eTax with the account: MST (for example: 0100231226), the password is the password to log into the Electronic Tax Return system to use the Tax Return service; Tax refund; search.

For wholesale enterprises, besideone main account of each tax code, enterprises can create additional accounts for different titles in the enterprise such as director, chief accountant, accountant. members, to help control responsibilities of members in a secure, flexible manner.
