China tests dragon fruits and reefer containers for Covid-19

Each package of fruits transshipped from Vietnamese vehicles to Chinese vehicles must be fumigated. The fumigation will be conducted by the Chinese company.

The Chinese side emphasised that, if fruits are not fumigated at the request by the Customs but fumigated at yards, the opening of the container is not allowed before being fumigated. After being fumigated, goods will be issued fumigation certificate, if the goods are not issued the certificate, they will not be able to be sold.

To perform testing on this item, the fumigation fee is CNY 950 per container. The Chinese side also said the specific fee is announced by the Pricing Department, the owner of the goods must pay the fee and the fumigation company includes Hang Khai Company and Trung Kiem Company (designated by the Government).

Talking with reporters of Customs Newspaper about this information, a representative of Tan Thanh Customs Branch (Lang Son Customs Department) said the department has just received this notification from Bang Tuong competent authority (China). Tan Thanh Customs Branch announced widely to businesses operating through Tan Thanh border gate to update information and comply with the regulation.
