Binh Duong’s export revenue rises 11.3%
This is a vivid demonstration of the sound adaptability as well as robust development of local enterprises whose high-quality products have reached out to the world.
The province’s key exports documented positive growth during the eight months, including wood (rising 21.8%), garment and textiles (3.6%), and leather shoes (9.4%). They were sold in the US, the EU, Canada, the Republic of Korea, Australia, and Japan.
According to Chairman of the province’s Import-Export Association Pham Van Xo, the recovery of orders for the local production sector is a rosy sign for exports. However, the industry is facing various challenges like high logistics costs due to the fluctuation of material prices and shortage of containers, which could affect the competitive capacity of enterprises.
He said enterprises need to persify their customers and adjust their strategies in response to unpredictable changes in the international markets, particularly risks from trade defence policies. A closer linkage among domestic firms and the development of a strong domestic supply chain will help reduce dependence on foreign supply while stabilising prices.
To boost exports for the remaining months, the provincial People’s Committee has directed competent sectors to roll out measures to improve the business climate, remove roadblocks for exporters, and invest big in logistics infrastructure.
Besides, it will focus on simplifying customs clearance procedures and facilitating production and business activities.
At the same time, the province has encouraged local firms to join international trade fairs, enhance e-commerce promotion to expand markets, support small and medium-sized enterprises to go digital and improve the quality of their products./.
