Bac Kan province has not collected any USD from export

According to the statistics from the Vietnam Customs, until the end of September 2017, Bac Kan was the only province out of 63 provinces which did not export any shipment, meanwhile the export turnover was only US$ 323,246.
The situation of “no export” of Bac Kan province has incurred since 2016 and currently, it has not been improved yet.
On October 13, 2017, talking with the correspondent of Customs Newspaper, the Manager of Bac Kan Customs Branch (Cao Bang Customs Department) Dinh Ich Cuong said that there had not been any export declaration and import declaration had been little in the recent 2 years. In this year, the Branch carried out only 4 import declarations with total tax revenues of 1.145 billion VND.
According to the leader of Bac Kan Customs Branch, in the previous years, the Branch had a few declarations related to the export of stone powder or lead bullion but currently, these items have not been exported.
Many years ago, Bac Kan attracted some investment projects such as cassava starch processing factory, cement plant, automobile assembly, and manufacturing plant but the projects did not effectively operate.

According to Vietnam Customs, until the end of September, there were 2 provinces that had an export turnover less than US$ 1 million in the country. Beside Bac Kan, Lai Chau is the remaining province with a turnover of US$ 294,708 in which export turn over was US$ 166,611 and import turn over was US$ 128,097.
