Accordingly, the tickets will be sold for 11 domestic flights, including from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, Hai Phong, Van Don, Vinh, Thanh Hoa, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quy Nhon, Pleiku andBuon MaThuot and vice-versa. Theseticket prices will be applied to customers who purchase tickets between now and December 31, 2019, and for itineraries between January 17, 2020 and February 8, 2020.

Airlines have made plans to give the best service for the Lunar New Year 2020.

Evaluating the preparations for the Tet holiday by airlines, Mr. Thang said that for the year-end market, especially the Lunar New Year market itself, Vietnam aviation has also madeevaluations and forecast.

The aviation market during Tet is forecast to achieve a growth of about 9 percent.

To prepare for the travel service at the peak of the Tet holiday, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam held a meeting to discuss the preparations of human resource to serve passenger transportation.

Accordingly, in December, Bamboo Airways alone increased by 6 airplanes, Vietnam Airlines increased the entire fleet to serve the Tet holiday andVietjet Air also increased by nearly ten airplanes.

“In my opinion, the current transport force issufficient, if the demand continues to increase but the ability to buy tickets of passengers is difficult, we will also provide options. Currently, all airlineshave made flight plans for the New Year and sold tickets for the New Year. With the determination of the aviation industry, it is expected to increase the reception capacity of Tan Son Nhat airport to 46 flights per hour during the peak of the Tet holiday to ensure that no passengers cannot return home during Tet,” Thang said.

If last year Tan Son Nhat airport in the peak hour, the peak day, welcomed about 900 flights, this year Tan Son Nhat will continue to be a good growth airport. It is expected to welcome about 920-930 flights on the peak day on 27 and 28 of December according to the lunar calendar.

According to Mr. Dinh Viet Thang, in terms of infrastructure, to serve the Tet holiday, all airports have completed repair, maintenance, and basic equipment, without any constructions active to ensure Tet goes smoothly.
