787,500 businesses use e-tax declaration services

According to the General Department of Taxation, the tax sector is supporting businesses to pilot e-invoices with tax verification codes in cities of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh and Da Nang.

From September 2015 to August 19, 2020, 255 businesses have piloted the use of e-invoiceswith tax verification codes.

From January to August 19, 2020, more than 903,000 e-invoices were issued with tax verification codes; total revenue of e-invoices with tax verification codes is more than VND22,955 billion; the tax revenue in the e-invoices with tax verification codes is more than VND2,025 billion.

The tax sector has deployed e-tax refunds in 63 tax departments since August 4, 2017. From January 1 to August 19, 2020, 7,253 businesses have participated in e-tax refunds. The total number of received tax dossiers is 16,278, reaching 97.44%. The total number of tax refunded dossiers is VND11,882 with total revenue of VND68,209 billion.

Previously, following the direction of the Government in Resolution No. 01 and the action program of the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Taxation implemented measures to reform administrative procedures; implemented on schedule information technology projects; especially, it accelerated and expanded implementation of online tax declaration and e-tax payment.

Currently, the electronic tax declaration system has been deployed in all provinces and cities and 100% of tax branches. As of August 19, 2020, there were 787,562 businesses participating in using e-tax declaration services, reaching 99.3% of operating businesses, the number of e-tax declaration dossiers received from January 1 to August 19, 2020 is 10,174,877.

Along with the effective application of information technology, the Tax sector has also made efforts to upgrade and standardize data to connect administrative procedures to the National Public Service Portal, creating the most favorable conditions for people and businesses in fulfilling tax obligations to the State budget.

According to the plan, the General Department of Taxation will integrate 93 administrative procedures at level 3 and level 4 into the National Public Service Portalin 2020. As of September 3, the General Department of Taxation has completed the integration of 30 additional tax administrative procedures to the National Public Service Portal, bringing the total number of integrated tax procedures to 150, reaching 161% of the assigned plan.

To improve service quality for businesses and taxpayers in the implementation of tax laws, in the near future, the tax sector will continue to reform and modernize tax administration,apply information technology, upgrade and integrate all tax administrative procedures into the National Public Service Portal to create the most favorable conditions for people and businesses to fulfill their tax obligations.
