5 “billions of dollar” groups of export products with double-digit growth

In detail, phones and components led with an export turnover of $29.17 billion, up 16.4% over the same period last year.

Exports of this group to the US market reached $6.61 billion, up 53.7%; to the Chinese market reached $6.45 billion and up 16.6%; to the EU reached $3.2 billion and down 7.7%; to Korea reached $2.78 billion and up 29.8%.

Computers, electronic products, and components reached US$27.68 billion, up 15.6%.

Exports of this group to the US reached $7.32 billion, up 26.9%; to the Chinese market reached $5.89 billion, up 12.1%; to the EU market reached $3.73 billion, up 18.5%; to the Hong Kong market reached $2.88 billion, up 1.3%; to the Korean market reached US$1.79 billion, down 5.1%.

Machinery, equipment, tools, and spare parts ranked third with $21.2 billion, up 23.8%. The main export markets include the US with US$9.49 billion, up 22.5%; EU with US$2.7 billion, up 24%; China with US$1.48 billion, up 25.9%; South Korea with US$1.38 billion, up 26.9%.

Textile and garments reached $18.53 billion, up 20.8%, and ranked fourth. These goods exports to the US reached US$9.33 billion, up 22.7%; to the EU reached $2.13 billion, up 37.5%; to Japan reached $1.67 billion, up 6.1%; to South Korea reached $1.37 billion, up 9.7%.

Footwear is the fifth commodity group to reach more than $10 billion in the first six months with nearly $11.8 billion, up 13.5%.

These goods exports to the US reached $5.1 billion, up 23.2%; to the EU reached $2.91 billion, up 19%; to China reached $799 million, down 20.2%; to Japan reached $496 million, down 2.9%.

With $108.38 billion, the five main commodity groups accounted for over 58.2% of the country's total export turnover.

Notably, all five commodities achieved double-digit growth and made a significant contribution to Vietnam's export growth in the past six months with a total turnover of $186.03 billion, up 17.3%, equivalent to an increase of US$27.46 billion over the same period last year.
