VCN- According to the Nghe An Customs Department, the Drug Control Team has collaborated with the Tri Le Border Guard Station, the Drug and Crime Prevention Division (Nghe An Border Guards), the Criminal Investigation Department on drugs (PC47) - Nghe An Police and Que Phong Police to arrest 2 perpetrators carrying 10 kg of opium.

2 perpetrators transporting 10 kg of opium are arrested

2 perpetrators, Mr. Ly and Mr. Dia.

At 3pm on 13th May 2017, in San village, Tri Le commune, Que Phong district, the Task Forces discovered and arrested 2 Lao perpetrators, Mr. Tho Cha Ly, born in 1993 and Tho Dua Dia, born in 1988, resided in Na Co Mu village, Pha Danh commune, Muong Quan district, Hua Phan province, Laos who were transporting opium from the border to Vietnam for consumption.

Specifically, the Task Forces collected a black plastic bag (opium) in a plastic can weighing 10 kg, 2 motorcycles and 2 mobile phones.

Through the investigation, 2 perpetrators declared that they bought and exchanged opium of people in the area, then transported them into Vietnam to make a profit.

A representative from the Drug Control Team said that on 14th May 2017, the Task Forces handed over these two perpetrators to the authorities for further investigation and handling.
