185 Enterprises named for taxes, fees, debts
Hanoi Department of Taxation has just published a list of 185 enterprises which owe taxes, fees and land rental with a debt of more than 215 billion vnd.

There are 176 enterprises owing taxes, fees with a debt of over 190.3 billion vnd and 9 owing land rentals with a debt of 25.4 billion vnd. This is the 9th time Hanoi Department of Taxation has "disparaged" the name of enterprises that owe taxes.
Of the 185 enterprises above, most are operating in sectors of investment in construction, real estate and commerce. For example, Lanmak Real Estate Construction Investment JSC with a debt of 19.7 billion vnd.
In addition, some enterprises have huge tax debts such as: Bridge Construction Co., Ltd, (more than 7 billion vnd); Nam Phong Construction and Consultant Co., Ltd (more than 8 billion vnd); Tien Phong Co., Ltd (over 13 billion vnd).
Earlier, Hanoi Department of Taxation publicly posted debtors 8 times with 1,084 enterprises and projects that owe taxes, fees, and land rental for unpaid taxes totalling 2,054 billion vnd. As a result of the publiucity, 500 of 1,084 enterprises paid the owing tax amount of 349,386 million vnd into the State budget.
According to the Hanoi Department of Taxation, the vast majority of taxpayers abide by the tax law and policy. However, there are still some businesses which have not taken seriously and fully the provisions of the tax law which leads to prolonged debt. Therefore, to ensure fairness in the community of taxpayers, the Hanoi Department of Taxation must publicise on the mass media, as well as on the public website of the Hanoi Department of Taxation lists of organisations that owe taxes.
