Vietnam Summit in Japan to talk Industry 4.0

This year's event, the first event of its kind is poised to open with the theme of “Make in Vietnam – Opportunities and Challenges.”
Over 500 delegates, including Japanese and Vietnamese experts in the fields of economics, technology, and health care, are expected to attend the summit, along with Vietnamese intellectual community members in Japan.
In total, there are approximately 350,000 Vietnamese expats living in Japan, among them are a large number of scientists, researchers working in universities and institutes, and experts working in many of Japan’s leading companies.
It is therefore hoped that the summit will serve to connect the Vietnamse intellectual community throughout Japan, giving them the chance to discuss solutions and new Japanese technologies which can be applied in Vietnam.
A number of key figures have already confirmed their attendance at the event, including the Vietnamese ambassador to Japan Vu Hong Nam, representatives of Vietnam’s Ministry of Planning and Investment and Ministry of Information and Communication, along with economist Pham Chi Lan, and Hoang Nam Tien, chairman of FPT Software.
A wide range of topics will be raised for discussion during the summit, focusing on big data, Industry 4.0 based on the Internet of Things, and lessons which the country can learn from Japan when applying solutions to future events.
The aim of the occasion is to discuss the opportunities and challenges which exist for Vietnam’s economy moving forward, and how lessons can be learnt from various aspects of Japan’s recent history.
