Unpredictable fluctuations may occur in securities market

At the end of the session on November 18, the VN-Index increased by 4.63 points (0.48%) to 973.53 points. The HNX-Index increased by 0.22 points (0.15%) to 146.8 points. UPCoM decreased 0.27 points (0.41%) to 65.88 points.
A total of568 million shares were traded, equivalent to a value of VND 11,557 billion of which, trading volume for stock put-through transactions accounted for VND1,373 billion.
During the session, a series of pillar stocks increased strongly, helping to maintain the green of the indexes. Of which, GVR increased 6.1% to VND 19,000 / share, GAS increased by 6% to VND 80,000/ share andVNM increased by 1.7% to VND 109,400/ share.
Steel stocks still grew strongly of which, POM, SMC, TLH and NKG all ended the session at the ceiling price. Besides, HPG increased by 3.7% to VND 34,600/share.
MSN, VIC, VHM or MWG dropped deeply and put pressure on the indexes, of which, MSN fellby 2.5% to VND 82,900/share, MWG dropped 1.3% to VND 110,600/share, VHM dropped 1.3% to VND 77,300/share andVIC decreased 1% to VND 104,900 / share.
According to Bao Viet Securities Company (BVSC), the VN-Index is forecast to face strong fluctuations when approaching the resistance zone 980-990 points in the next sessions. Positive movements inworld markets will continue to support the uptrend of the domestic market.
Investors will also start to pay more attention to information on Q4 and 2020 business results of listed companies. In addition, we also note the maturity date of the November -future contract on November 19 may cause strong fluctuations.
KB Vietnam Securities Company also forecast the uptrend is still playing a key role, heading to the next expected target zone of about1,000 points. However, unpredictable fluctuations may occur in this session on November 19 when it is the maturity date of the Novemberfutures contract.
Therefore, investors are recommended to continue holding open positions, avoid chasing purchases and only increase the proportion for short-term positions if the market turns to the support zone of 940-945 points.
