Trading of country almost reaches $US 460 billion

VCN – In the first 15 days of December 2018, the import turnover is greater than export turnover that led to trade surplus of the whole year to slightly decrease.

This information is released by General Department of Vietnam Customs showing that, in the first 15 days of December, the total export turnover for the whole of the country reached $US 9.375 billion, in that the import turnover achieved $US 9.916 billion. Thus, the country’s trade gap is $US 541 million.

Accumulated from the beginning of the year to 15/12, the total export turnover reached $US 233.07 billion, while the import turnover was $US 226.184 billion.

Thus, the total trade turnover of the whole country reached $US 459,254 billion, and our country still has a surplus of about $US 6.886 billion.

Some notable import items in the first 15 days of the month were cars; computer; devices…

Specifically, in the first 15 days of December, the whole country imported 7,192 completed cars of all types with total turnover of over $US 152 million. The accumulated from the beginning of the year was 74,626 cars with total turnover was $US 1,646 billion.

While computers, electronic products and components were still the largest group of imports with a turnover of $US 40.407 billion, only in the first 15 days of December it was $US 1.805 billion.

The remaining group of "billion USD" in the first 15 days of December is machinery and equipment with a turnover that was $US 1,455 billion, bringing the total turnover from the beginning of the year to nearly $US 32.12 billion - ranking in second place among the major groups of imported commodities for the whole country.
