Towards forming a database system of electronic invoices

According to the General Department of Taxation, since the beginning of the year, the taxation sector has promulgated an action plan to implement Resolution No. 02/NQ-CP on continuing to perform main tasks and solutions for improving the business environment, enhancing national competitiveness in 2019 and a view to 2021. On that basis, the whole sector is making efforts to follow the goals as planned.
Up to now, the tax sector has expanded online tax declaration system in 63/63 provinces and cities and all subordinate Tax Branches with 99.8 percent of enterprises participated. At the same time, the General Department of Taxation is cooperating with 50 commercial banks connected to e-tax payment with 99.6 percent of enterprises registering to use the service.
The tax department has also expanded the implementation of e-tax refund services in 63 provinces with 94.2 percent of businesses.
Notably, the General Department of Taxation is continuing to deploy a pilot programme of electronic invoices with authentication, electronic declaration and electronic tax payment for individuals renting houses at 46 tax departments. At the same time, it is implementing registration fees for automobiles and motorbikes at 316 tax branches under 29 tax departments.
Currently, the tax sector is building a national database system of taxpayers and developing regulations on connection standards for the deployment of electronic invoices to meet Decree 119/ND-CP towards forming a database system of invoices in the economy.
According to the General Department of Taxation, in the future, the taxation sector will boost the provision of electronic services to taxpayers such as: e-tax declaration and e-payment for individuals with house leasing activities; personal income tax for real estate transfer, electronicdeclaration and payment of registration fees for automobiles and motorcycles; e-tax payment to individuals business through organisations authorised to perform tax collection.
