According to the General Department of Taxation, to promote administrative reform and facilitate enterprises and people, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 411/QD-TTg dated March 24, 2020 approving the list of integrated public services to be provided on the National Online Public Service Portal in 2020.

The Prime Minister also requested that for approved services, units implement the integration and provision on the National Online Public Service Portal by 2020 to ensure reaching the minimum rate as prescribed. Failure to meet the target or the request of the Government will be strictly handled.

According to the plan, this year, the General Department of Taxation must integrate 93 administrative procedures at level 3 into the national online public service portal. However, by May, the General Department of Taxation had completed the plan earlier than six months. Since then, more than 14 million visits of taxpayers through the National Online Public Service Portal to send requests to tax authorities for handling those 93 procedures.

Recently, the General Department of Taxation integrated 27 administrative procedures, bringing the total number of online public services provided on National Online Public Service Portal to 120 procedures. Thus, the tax sector continues to exceed the targets set by the Government and the Ministry of Finance, reaching nearly 130% of the plan of 2020.

The 1,000th public service provided on the National Online Public Service Portal that was announced on August 19was the service of declaration and payment of registration fees and submitting a declaration of registration for motorbikes.

The General Department of Taxation has worked with the Registry Department - Ministry of Transport and Department of Traffic Police to share and integrate data from 2016 to the beginning of this year in order to complete a pilot in Hanoi and HCM City.

To achieve these results, the tax sector has made constant efforts in renovating and upgrading the information technology system, integrating the tax administration system with the national service portal system. Residents that have accounts on the National Public Service portal can enter the registration fee declaration, after completing the declaration, people will receive a message providing the dossier code and the amount of money to make electronic payment right on the portal. Previously, the making of paper records took half and now it only takes 10 to 15 minutes

In the future, the tax sector will strive to upgrade and integrate all tax administrative procedures on the national online public service portal to facilitate people and businesses to fulfill their tax obligations.
