Tax sector receives more than 126 applications for tax payment extension

According to the General Department of Taxation, following Government Decree No. 41/2020/ND-CP dated April 8, 2020 on extending payment of taxes and land rent, as of May 29, 2020, the country has a total of 126,795 applications for extending payment of taxes and land rent sent to tax agencies. Of which 101,165 applications came from enterprises and 25,630 from individuals.
Total taxes and land rent for payment extension as of May 29, 2020 are VND 36,913 billion. Of which, VAT is VND 13,000 billion; corporate tax is VND 20,365 billion; land rent is VND 3,311 billion; VAT and personal income tax of individuals and business households in the first quarter of 2020 is VND 230 billion.
Along with that, for the implementation of Decree No. 42/NQ-CP dated April 9, 2020 on measures to support people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, as of May 29, tax agencies nationwide received more than 14,622 applications from business households.

The General Department of Taxation said to carry out contents described in Decree No. 42/NQ-CP and Decision No. 15/2020/QD-TTg, the General Department of Taxation issued Dispatch No. 1700/TCT-DNNN dated April 29, 2020 guiding tax departments and branches across the country to promote information and receive and assess applications for support from business households affected by the pandemic.
