Several customs policies urgently perfected

In 2022, the Customs Control and Supervision Department is assigned to developing three Decree projects to submit to the Government, three Circular Projects to submit the Ministry of Finance, and three projects to submit to the General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC).
In addition, the department reported to the leaders of the GDVC and the Ministry of Finance to submit to the Prime Minister for approval the three projects.
The key task in developing policies is to formulate the Decree amending and supplementing Decree 08/2015/ND-CP and Decree 59/2018/ND-CP. The GDVC hold a meeting with units under the Government Office, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance to discuss and agree with contents. Currently, the GDVC has urgently perfected the draft report to report the Ministry of Finance.
The GDVC has collaborated with ministries and government agencies to develop the draft decree on management mechanism, methods, order and procedures for quality and food safety inspection for imports.
According to the department, after the draft decree was submitted to the Government, leaders of the GDVC and the Ministry of Finance had a working session with the Government Office, ministries and units to perfect the draft decree. The GDVC submitted to the Ministry of Finance a draft report on the draft Decree.
The GDVC submitted the draft decree on customs control for export and import transacted via e-commerce.
The department has coordinated with relevant units to perfect contents of the draft Circular amending Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC dated March 25, 2015 and Circular 39/2018/TT-BTC dated April 20, 2018, of the Ministry of Finance.
The Circular will be submitted for promulgation under the approved schedule of the Decree amending Decree 08/2015/ND-CP and Decree 59/2018/ND-CP; developed a Circular on information criteria for forms issued together with the Decree stipulating the management mechanism, method, order, and procedures for quality inspection and food safety inspection for imported goods, and Circular on information criteria for customs procedures for imports and export transacted via in e-commerce.
The Department developed the GDVC’s Decision on amending and supplementing the Decision 1966/QD-TCHQ dated July 10, 2015 on the promulgation of customs procedures for exported and imported goods; built operational process under the Project on Digital and Smart customs.
