Search personal tax code on electronic devices for tax finalization

A taxpayer can search for their personal tax code via electronic devices connected to the internet. |
According to the Hanoi Tax Department, the personal income tax code is a 10-digit number, so many taxpayers cannot remember their tax code. When making a tax finalization or declaring the code, tax payers face difficulties.
Therefore, the Hanoi Tax Department provides instructions for searching for their personal tax code online via mobile phone and computer in a quick and easy manner.
Specifically, the taxpayer can use existing web browsers on their personal electronic devices connected to the internet (mobile phones, personal computers, tablets, and workstations) to access the following website to search for information about the personal tax code.
Option 1:Access the Tax Authority’s website under the link: http://www.gdt.gov.vn, and select the folder "look up taxpayer information".
After accessing, the screen displays the lookup function interface for the taxpayer to enter in the search information(ID card number), then enter the code to confirm and select the function "Search", the system will provide results about taxpayer information.
Option 2: Access the electronic tax system at the link: https://thuedientu.gdt.gov.vn, select the function "Personal" on the right hand side of the screen to look up personal tax code. Then enter ID card number according to the information registered when applying forthe tax code or the information updated with the tax authority and the check code and then select "look up".
The taxpayer can check the personal information registered with the Tax authority with the results displayed on the screen when searching tax code via the system.
If the taxpayer’s information in the data management system of the tax authority is out of date or incorrect, the taxpayer must supplement information to the tax authority according to theadjusted declaration under form 08-MST issued together with Circular No.105/2020/TT-BTC, and must submit a copy of a valid ID card for the Vietnamese nationality-taxpayer and a copy of a valid passport fortaxpayer who have foreign nationality and Vietnamesetaxpayers living abroad if the information on these documents haschanged.
Based on the taxpayer's additional information, the tax agency will adjust and update information according to regulations.
