Russian Federation has invested in 111 projects in Vietnam

VCN- According to the Foreign Investment Agency, Ministry of Planning and Investment, as of now, Russia has invested in 6 projects in the petroleum sector in Vietnam with a total investment of $US 531 million, taking more than 50% of Russia's registered FDI capital in Vietnam.

Accordingly, cumulative to May 8 2016, the Russian Federation has 111 investment projects in Vietnam, with a total registered capital of $US 1.05 billion and ranked 23 of 112 countries and territories having investment projects in Vietnam. In particular, the average amount of capital per project, of the Russian Federation, was about $US 9.5 million.

Particularly in the first 8 months of 2016, the Russian Federation has invested in 7 new projects with a total registered capital of $US 5.87 million, ranking 41 of 65 countries and territories investing in Vietnam.

Up to now, Russian investors have invested in 13 out of 18 sectors of the Vietnam economic industry classification system, investment focused primarily on the mining sector with 7 projects, a total investment of $US 581.2 million (55% of the total investment capital of the Russian Federation in Vietnam)

Statistics shows that, when investing in Vietnam, most of the investment capital of the Russian Federation focused on joint venture projects with $US 500 million of the total 39 projects (accounting for 44.6% of total investment Russian Federation in Vietnam).

So far, the Russian investors have been present in 23 of 63 localities of the country (including the offshore petroleum sector). The Offshore petroleum sector has been leading with 6 projects and a total investment of $US 531.2 million (over 50% of the total registered capital of the Russian Federation in Vietnam).
