The Vietnam Customs Statistics announced that in the second half of October, 2021 the total Vietnam’s exports of US dollars 15.68 billion and imports of nearly US dollars 13.04 billion resulted in a trade surplus of US dollars 2.64 billion.
Accordingly, the total value of export and import turnover of Vietnam in the second half of October was over US dollars 28.72 billion, up by 9.9% as compared to the first half of October-2021.
Furthermore, in the first 10 months of 2021, Vietnam was in trade surplus of USD 125 million.
Vietnam‘s trade-in-goods in the first 10 months of 2021 totaled US dollars 539.42 billion in value terms, up by 22.6% as compared to the performance of the same period of last year.
In the view of Foreign Direct Invested (FDI) traders, the total value of exportation and importation in the first 10 months of 2021 reached USD 374.03 billion, up by 25.4% in comparison to the same period of 2020.
Export:
As compared to the first half of October-2021, second half of the month increase in the total export value (19.2% - USD 2.52 billion equally) is reflected by upturn in computer, electrical products (up by 40.1% - USD 704 million equally); telephones, mobile phones and part thereof (up by 25.5% - USD 629 million equally); footwear (up by 43.1% - USD 166 million); wood and wooden products (up by 38.4% - USD 153 million equally)…
Totally, in the first 10 months of 2021 total export value from Vietnam was USD 269.77 billion, up by 17.4% as compared to the same period of 2020 (equivalent to USD 40.02 billion in absolute value terms).

The first half to second half of October widen in the total of import value (0.5%) reflected upturn in telephones, mobile phones and part thereof (up by 33.3% - USD 286 million equally); petroleum products (up by 53.1% - USD 72 million equally)…
From January to second half of October-2021, total import value into Vietnam was USD 269.65 billion, went up by 28.3% as compared to the same period of 20120 (equivalent to USD 59.5 billion in absolute value terms).
