The 12th Party Central Committee (PCC)’s sixth plenary meeting entered its fifth working day in Hanoi on October 9.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired the morning session during which participants scruitinised a project on reforming management and financial mechanisms and reconstructing public administrative units.

The meeting continued in the afternoon under the chair of Politburo member Tran Quoc Vuong, PCC Secretary, head of the committee’s Inspection Commission and standing member of the PCC Secretariat.

Politburo member and head of the PCC’s Organisation Commission Pham Minh Chinh read a Politburo report on a project on re-arranging the political system toward a lean and effective apparatus.

The report was then discussed by the PCC in groups.
