PM Phuc appreciates foreign investors’ role

At a reception for Timothy Geithner, former US Secretary of the Treasury Tymothy Geithner, who is President of Warburg Pincus, in Hanoi on September 20, the cabinet leader reiterated Vietnam's efforts to go ahead with stronger reform, maintain stable macro-economy, and create favorable conditions for foreign investors.

He said he believes that the firm will be successful in Vietnam, who considers foreign investors’ success as its own.

Geithner, in turn, expressed his optimism about Vietnam’s economic prospect and growth potential in the coming time.

He said it is the right time for Warburg Pincus to increase investments in Vietnam as a result of its government's rapid economic and administrative reform, thus facilitating foreign investors' expansion of operations in the country.
