New leadership line-up discussed at ongoing Party congress
About 200 delegates are expected to be elected to the new Party Central Commitee for the 2021-2026 tenure. |
The strategic-level personnel work has been carried out following conclusions of the 12th Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam to consider candidates to the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat and key posts of the Party and State for the 2021-2026 tenure.
According to Mai Van Chinh, deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission, the Party’s new leadership line-up will have a reasonable composition of personnel to ensure a stable inheritance and a steady transition between generations.
The 13th National Party Congress is expected to elect 200 delegates to the next Party Central Committee. Of the total, 180 are full-fledged and the remaining 20 are alternate.
The personnel work has been examined in three last conferences of the 12th Party Central Committee, and the list of nominees to the 13th Party Central Committee, the Political Bureau and the Secretariat received strong support from Party members at the recently concluded 15th conference.
The last conference agreed to select several incumbent Party Central Committee members for re-election to the 13th Committee.
These are special cases which have been considered thoroughly and highly agreed upon by the 12th Party Central Committee, said Chinh.
