Medical mask exports surge

VCN – The export of medical masks in October soared, the General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC) said on Monday.

Medical mask exports surge

According to the report from the GDVC, 14 enterprises exported 37.14 million medical masks in October, increasing two times compared with the previous month.

The quantity of exported medical masks in October is the largest since May.

Thus, between January and October, Vietnam exported over 359.34 million medical masks.

Of which, the export of this product accounted for the largest quantity with VND64.7 million in January and the smallest with VND12.53 million in July.

After applying the granting of the export permit of medical mask for Covid-19 prevention under Resolution 20/NQ-CP dated February 28, 2020, the export of this item is implemented under Resolution 60/NQ-CP dated April 29, 2020.

The whole country exported over 181 million medical masks in May and over 236 million masks in June.

Vietnam exported over 1.37 billion medical masks in 2020.
