Many type of audit and inspection fees were adjusted to decrease

VCN – Over the past year (from 10/2017 to 8/2018), the Ministry of Finance has chaired and coordinated with the specialized management ministries to work out a plan of adjusting for reducing the rate inspection and audit fees. Also the Ministry has issued 14 circulars on reduction of charge and fee levels.

In that, the procedure for granting and extending confirmation of eligibility for occupational health and safety training has the lowest rate of adjustment fees, which was 4.7 %; the highest rate of adjustment fees which was 90%, was the procedure for repairing and conserving cable works (from $US 500,000 to $US 50,000)

Specifically, there are 45 procedures in 29 areas that have been adjusted to reduce fees and charges. The number of procedures with fee rate reducing less than 20% is 27 procedures; The number of procedures adjusted to reduce fees and charges rate from 20% to 50% is 11 procedures; The number of procedures adjusted to reduce over 50% is 7 procedures.

Notably, the Ministry of Finance also coordinates with the specialized management ministries to abolish fees and charges for a variety of procedures such as the fee for appraising the granting of permits for import of pharmaceuticals and traditional medicines (200,000 VND/month); to abolish the fee for evaluating the dossier of application for a drug introducer card (200,000 VND/dossier); to abolish the fee for evaluation of granting permits for production or trading of chemicals on the list of restriction in production, operating business in the industry (1.2 million VND /permit); to abolish fees for appraising and approval of prevention and tackling to chemical incident (8,000,000 VND/dossier); to abolish fee for granting of licenses for export and import of industrial precursor substance (newly granting: 200,000 VND /permit, extension: 100,000 VND/permit).

Furthermore, supplementing the subject for exempting from charging of some procedures; Change the tax calculation method for a procedure in order to reduce the rate of fees and charges.

Earlier, in the Annoucement No. 50/TB-VPCP dated 5/2/2018 of the Government’s Office, the steering committee of the Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue assigned the Ministry of Finance to co-ordinate with the ministries. To review and adjust the charge rates on inspection and examination for a number of goods and domains toward the direction of reducing costs for enterprises.
