Information technology system meets merging of regional tax branches

According to the General Department of Taxation, following Decision No. 520 / QD-BTC dated April 13, 2018 of the Ministry of Finance approving the plan of rearranging and merging tax branchesof districts, towns and cities to the regional tax branch, the tax sector has set an urgent requirement to immediately launch an information technology system to help in tax administration, support taxpayers with e-tax declaration, e-tax payment and e-tax refund services and other services.
The Information Technology Department (General Department of Taxation) said that up to now, it has upgraded 200 times of 20 applications, including developing report templates to support tax authorities to hand over data before merging; developing a solution to block applications during the data handover and transfer between the former tax branches and new merged tax branches.
The Tax sector has also developed a plan to output, digitally sign and hand over electronic tax data; building and upgraded information technology applications after merging: set up a list to decentralize users and upgrade application functions to meet the regional tax branch.
According to the General Department of Taxation, by the end of February 2020, the whole sector has completed the establishment of information technology systems for regional tax branches 10 months ahead of time according to Decision No. 41/2018 / QD-TTg of Prime Minister and Decision No. 520 / QD-BTC dated April 13, 2018 of the Minister of Finance.

In fact, up to now, electronic tax services work continuously without affecting taxpayers. Along with that, the electronic tax administration data on the system is recorded and fully handed over between the former tax offices and the regional tax office, thereby ensuring the inspection and control in the future. Electronic data exchange with relevant ministries, agencies and units is not interrupted, missed and changed.
