The General Statistics Office of Vietnam said that due to the negative impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the growth rate of industrial added value in the third quarter only reached 2.34% over the same period in last year.
The added value of processing and manufacturing industries increased by 4.6%, and that of electricity production and distribution increased by 3.7%.
Particularly, the added value of the mining sector decreased by 5.35% due to the sharp drop in crude oil and natural gas production.
The average inventory rate of the whole processing and manufacturingindustries in the first nine months of this year was75.6% (it was 72.1% in the same period last year).
However, according to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam, because the pandemic is contained, economic sectors are entering a state of operation in new normal conditions, so industrial production in September 2020 has prospered. It is expected to recover and grow again in the last months of the year.
