According to Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, in the first half of 2019, the Department received dossiers and responded to the results of VAT settlement by electronic means, with positive results.
Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department implemented tax refunds for 978 dossiers worth VND 4,599 billion for tax payers.
With the theme of 2019 as “the breakthrough year of administrative reform and implementation of Resolution No. 54/2017/ QH14 of the National Assembly”, Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department has provided seven online public service groups at level 3-4 to improve the quality of tax administration and reduce the time and costs fortaxpayers in paying tax.
The number of businesses making e-tax declarations reached 99.95% of the total number of operating businesses.
The number of businesses registering accounts to implement e-tax payment was 93.99% compared to operating businesses; the number of business accounts that registered at commercial banks reached 89.83% of the total number of operating businesses; the number of documents for e-tax payment reached 84.29% of the total number of documents transmitted to the Treasury; the Tax amount paid by electronic method reached 62.19% of the amount remitted into the State budget.
