Hanoi Tax Department collecting budget increased by 20% over the same period

VCN - At the regular press conference of the Department of Propaganda and Training of the Hanoi Party Committee on 18/7, leaders of Hanoi Tax Department said that, up to now, the tax collection of the city has increased nearly 20% over the same period in 2016, achieved more than 93 trillion vnd.

Mr. Mai Son, Deputy Director of Ha Noi Tax Department said that, in the first 6 months of 2017, the Hanoi Taxation Department conducted more than 8,000 inspections, an increase of nearly 80% over the same period. Hanoi Tax Department also collected arrears, retrieve and impose a fine about 1.168 billion vnd, increased by nearly 7% over the same period.

Furthermore, Hanoi Tax Department has coordinated with the Social Insurance Agency and the Trade Union of the city to carry out the inspection on deducting social insurance premiums and trade union funds for 3,075 enterprises and organizations, thereby detecting 891 units have signs of violation in social insurance deduction; 1,042 units showed signs of violation in trade union funds and transferred the results to the Social Insurance Agency and the Trade Union of the city for settlement in accordance with regulations.

According to the leader of Hanoi Tax Department, recently, they have actively coordinated with the Police agency in preventing loss, detection, prevention and timely handling of fraudulent acts, tax evasion, especially the acts of buying and selling, using illegal invoices.

Regarding the task of removing difficulties for enterprises, according to leaders of Hanoi Tax Department, the agency has provided direct support at the tax office to more than 20,000 taxpayers, more than 21,000 phone calls about tax policy, the response by the document to more than 1,000 taxpayer inquiries.

Relating to business management via social networks, Hanoi Tax Department has informed through text message to more than 13,000 accounts of individuals business on social networks in order to let individuals do self-review, identify and understand their responsibility in tax declaration and payment. At the same time, supporting individuals to do business registration as prescribed, avoid future tax risks. As a result, it initially brings out efficiency and not cause any annoyance to the citizen.

With administrative procedures, reform and modernization of Tax Department, leader of Hanoi Tax Department said that they have pushed up many synchronous and drastic solutions with many effective solutions and strong application of information technology so that step by step, the outcomes have reached high efficiency. Moreover, Hanoi Tax Department continues to maintain the expansion and improve the quality of online tax declaration, electronic tax payment with the results are above 98% of operating enterprises complete online tax declaration and over 95% of the tax amount is made via electronic payment, exceeding the target that is set in Resolution 19 of the Government, contributing to reducing time and costs for enterprises.

Additionally, Hanoi Tax Department has successfully implemented the registration scheme, granting enterprise code automatically at level 4 with encouraging results when business registration, the establishment of enterprise and granting enterprise code automatically is done in not more than 30 minutes, complete in just only 12.5% of the time compared to the rule is 4 hours.

In the implementation of tasks in the last 6 months of the year, leader of Hanoi Tax Department stressed that, the agency will strive to complete the assigned budget, strengthen the management, push up and coerce to recover tax debts as prescribed by law, focus on classification of tax debts, identify the cause of tax debts in each unit in order to make proposal for removing difficulties for businesses and applying effective solutions.

At the press conference, Mr. Son informed that, in the coming time, the tax authorities will continue to coordinate with related agencies to inspect and prevent trade fraud, price fraud, and smuggling. Also detecting, preventing and strictly handling acts of law violation, especially violations in the sale and use of illegal invoices.

"The Hanoi Tax Department has also diversified forms of dialogue, discussion, and direct contact to capture the business situation, receive constructive feedback from enterprises and people regarding to policies, administrative procedures to support and remove difficulties in production, obstacles in the implementation of tax law or propose to higher competent authorities for timely removed, "Mr. Mai Son said.
