Ha Noi Tax Department receives more than 31,000 applications for tax extension

According to the Ha Noi Tax Department, as of June 11, the department received 31,827 applications for extension of deadlines for tax and land use fee payment in the area with a total extended tax and land use amount of VND 10,465 billion.
The extended tax amount for organisations and enterprises is VND 10,429 billion (including VAT of VND 2,525 billion, corporate income tax of 6,768 billion, land rent use fee of VND 1,136 billion), for business individuals is VND 36 billion (including VAT and Personal Income Tax).
According to Ha Noi Customs Department, when Decree 41/2020/ND-CP on the extension of deadlines for tax and land use fee payment and Government Resolution No.42 /NQ-CP on solutions to support people and businesses were issued, the department assigned specific tasks to its subordinate units to promptly publicise to all its officers and send emails to 100% of taxpayers in the area and develop materials and clips to post on website, YouTube and coordinate with press and television agencies to inform people and taxpayers.
In addition, Ha Noi Tax Department requested tax divisions and branches to build a database of groups subject to be extended, receive and handle the applications for extension of taxpayers, review operation and understand difficulties and shortcomings of taxpayers to support and remove promptly.
Ha Noi Tax Department expects businesses, organisations and business individuals subject to be extended tax and lend rent use fees as per Decree 41/2020/ND-CP but not yet submitted application for extension to quickly declare and submit e-application for extension to the tax authority on the E-tax systems or the National Public Service Portal.
