Ha Giang Jumbo oranges are plain, slightly flattened, the inner layer thicker than other oranges. When the oranges are ripe, they have a quite fresh color. Each Ha Giang Jumbo orange has a weight from 212 - 275g with a slight fragrance. They are quite succulent with red yellow flesh, suitable for extraction of juice eaten directly. Vitamin C is from 19.54 mg to 24.61 mg in 100g of fruit juice, organic acids is from 0.63% to 0.78%, glucose is from 6.89% to 8.12%, brix degree is from 8.25% to 9.60%, and the content of water is from 87.22% to 89.34%.

Ha Giang Jumbo oranges are reputable and typical because the geographic area is very suitable for the growth of oranges and local people have a great deal of experience in cultivating oranges. Jumbo oranges are suitable with the soil of mountainous areas and a cool climate. Accordingly, the geographical areas in the South of Ha Giang are mild, rainy and cool in the summer and not too cold in winter. They are the low areas of ​​Lo River, Bac River and Con River, below 500 meters above sea level, lower from North to South.
