The census will collect information about production and business establishments; administrative agencies; branches and representative offices of foreign enterprises and foreign non-governmental organisations; religious and belief establishments; and inpidual non-agricultural, fishery and forestry business and production establishments.

Information about labour and labourers’ income, enterprises’ information technology application and their access to loans will be also included.

The census aims to serve the assessment of the country’s socio-economic development, thus helping the Party and State with making development plans and policies.

The official results of the census are expected to be announced in the second quarter of 2022.

The Prime Minister also decided to establish a Central Steering Committee on General Economic Census which will be headed by the Minister of Planning and Investment. The General Director of the General Statistics Office will be its deputy head.
