According to the General Department of Customs, from the beginning of the year until August 15, 2023, the total export and import turnover of the entire country reached 402.61 billion USD, a decrease of 16.2%, corresponding to a decrease of 62.22 billion USD compared to the same period in 2022.
In which, exports reached 209.43 billion USD, a decrease of 10.1%, corresponding to a decrease of 23.5 billion USD compared to the same period in 2022.
Several categories experienced significant declines, such as: various types of phones and components decreased by 5.62 billion USD, corresponding to a decrease of 15.1%; textiles and garments decreased by 3.5 billion USD, corresponding to a decrease of 14.5%; machinery, equipment, tools, and spare parts decreased by 2.74 billion USD, corresponding to a decrease of 10%; wood and wood products decreased by 2.67 billion USD, corresponding to a decrease of 25.7%; various types of footwear decreased by 2.63 billion USD, corresponding to a decrease of 17.4%...
Conversely, the country's imports reached 193.18 billion USD, a decrease of 16.7%, corresponding to a decrease of 38.72 billion USD compared to the same period in 2022.
In which, some categories experienced substantial declines, such as: various types of phones and components decreased by 8.31 billion USD, corresponding to a decrease of 64%; computers, electronic products, and components decreased by 3.68 billion USD, corresponding to a decrease of 7.4%; machinery, equipment, tools, and spare parts decreased by 3.59 billion USD, corresponding to a decrease of 12.6%...
