Cutting specialized inspection procedures saves VND 6,300 billion

At the Government Conference with localities on the afternoon of December 28, according to the report on administrative procedure reform and improvement of the investment and business environment, Minister and Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dungsaid, since 2016, 37 documents have been issued, including eight decrees, 19 resolutions, two directives and eight decisions, fundamentally changing the process of implementing administrative procedures from manual method to the e-method. Accordingly, 1,097 procedures, 992 application forms and 399 declarations related to administrative procedures have been cut and simplified.
In 2020, 239 business conditions have been cut. For 2016-2020, 3,893 of 6,191 business conditions and 6,776 of 9,926 lists of goods subject to specialized inspectionand 30 administrative procedures related to specialized inspection have been cut; and 1,501 itemssubject to specialized inspection have been processed.
This reduction has saved about 18 million working days/year or VND6,300 billion/year for society, people and businesses.
Regarding the e-Government development, the Government and Prime Minister have issued many legal documents, programs, strategies, schemes, and plans to ensure the legal corridor for e-Government development towards digital government, digital economy and digital society.
Many e-government platformshave been put into operation, helping to innovate work performance in the State agencies as well as providing online public services for people and businesses.
Regarding the results of performing the assigned tasks and operation of the working group of the Prime Minister, Minister and Chairman of Government OfficeMai Tien Dung said that at the beginning of his term (early 2016), when the working group had not yet been established, the number of overdue tasks accounted for 25.2%. Now, the number of overdue tasks is only 1.8%, a decrease of 23.4% compared to 2016.
The system receiving and responding to proposals of people continues to promote efficiency. From December 9, 2019, the system has been integrated into the National Public Service Portal.
