This is the latest guidance of the General Department of Customs to Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Da Nang Customs Departments on the management of operation of express delivery and post offices as stipulated in the Decree. Decree 68/2016 / ND-CP.

Accordingly, under management of Hanoi Customs Department, there are offices failing to meet the conditions such as: TNT Express World Wide Co. Ltd., (failing to meet the conditions on location and area); UPS Vietnam Joint Stock Company (failing to meet conditions on location and area).

Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department has four offices that do not meet the conditions. They are: Tan Son Nhat Cargo Services and Forwarding Co. Ltd., (failing to meet the condition on camera image storage time); VNPost Express Joint Stock Company - Ho Chi Minh Branch (failing to meet the condition on camera image storage time); MN operational center for international post (failing to meet the condition on camera image storage time); and TNT-Vietrans Express Worldwide company (failing to meet condition on camera image storage time and location)

In the management area of Da Nang Customs Department, there are two ineligible offices belonging to the Transportation and Storage center Company in the central region (failing to meet the conditions on area, software system and camera image storage time); TNT-Viettrans Express Worldwide company -Danang branch (is not recognized on location for centralized collection, inspection and supervision of express goods).

For offices that have not yet met the conditions, the General Department of Customs requires the enterprises to meet the conditions before September 15, 2018.

By September 15, 2018, if the above offices do not meet the conditions stipulated in Decree 68/2016 / ND-CP, the General Department of Customs shall request the Customs Departments of provinces and cities to release a notice to postpone the operation and report, propose the Director General of Customs to consider the termination of operation of these offices.

Customs procedures of goods sent via ineligible post or express delivery offices after September 15 2018, shall be carried out at the Express Customs Branch or Customs Branch at international airports. Imported and exported goods shall not be taken to the ineligible gathering, inspection and supervision locations.
