The management board of industrial zones in the northern province of Bac Ninh on April 17 held an investment promotion conference to introduce to enterprises from Taiwan (China) the local business climate as well as policies to attract investors and develop industrial infrastructure.
In her remarks, Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huong Giang said Bac Ninh – a magnet to investors and an industrial hub in Vietnam – lies within the northern key economic region with favourable transport system as well as safe, friendly, and attractive business climate.
Pledging efforts to step up administrative reform and build a safer and more transparent investment environment, she affirmed that the province always accompanies foreign-invested enterprises, considering them an integral part of the economy.
Difficulties facing the firms will be promptly tackled, she noted.
Bac Ninh now houses 86 Taiwanese projects worth some 666 million USD, creating approximately 20,000 jobs.
The province has 16 concentrated industrial parks, which p more than 6,397 ha. Ten of these zones are in operation, luring investors from 38 countries and territories worldwide.
So far this year, the management board has granted investment licences to about 30 projects, including 24 foreign-funded ones valued at over 436 million USD in total./.
