Amend regulations on functions, tasks and organizational structure of the General Department of Vietnam Customs

Accordingly, the units shall base on Decisions stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the General Department of Vietnam Customs and units to review and assess the implementation at the units on the achievements, evaluate advantages and disadvantages and propose the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure.
In addition, the General Department of Vietnam Customs also requests the units to base on their workload, the nature of work and management areas to review and quantify the number of staff compared to the requirements of assigned work, functions and tasks, powers and actual situation of the units.
Reviewing and re-evaluating the qualification of the current contingent of civil servants, cadres and employees of the units in accordance with ranks, grades and provisions of Resolution 39-NQ/TW dated April 17, 2015.
It is known that Decision 65/2015/QD-TTg on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the General Department of Vietnam Customs has been implemented since 2016. After 3 years of implementation, the General Department of Vietnam Customs arranged and reorganized the organizational structure of a number of units towards streamlining and reducing staff according to the Party's and State's guidelines, policies and regulations.

Recently, the Government Office has issued an Official Letter on amendment to the Decisions on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, and requesting the Ministry of Finance and the General Department of Vietnam Customs to review, evaluate and propose amendments to Decision 65/2015/QD-TTg.
