30th COVID-19 infection case confirmed in Vietnam

The Ministry of Health on March 8 confirmed the 30th COVID-19 infection case in Vietnam, who were on the same flight VN0054 from London to Noi Bai International Aiport with the 17th COVID-19 patient.

The latest infection case was the 66-year old British female who has been currently under treatment in Hue city of the central province of Thua Thien Hue.

Before the positive test result for Sars-Cov-2 was unveiled, the patient spent three days in Hanoi, then traveled to Hai Phong city and returned to Noi Bai International Airport in order to take a flight to Hue city.

Currently, the patient has been put into isolation at the Hue Central Hospital for treatment.

From March 6-8, 11 cases of COVID-19 infection, including two Vietnamese nationals and nine foreigners on flight VN0054 of Vietnam Airlines were detected.

All the patients are still in good health conditions. Until now, Vietnam has recorded 30 cases of COVID-19 infection, of which 16 cases have been successfully cured and discharged from hospital.
