Welcoming ceremony for US President in Hanoi

On the morning of November 12, an official welcoming ceremony for US President Donald Trump was held at Presidential Palace. The top US leader has been on a two-day State visit to Vietnam at the invitation of President Tran Dai Quang.

In his speech at a banquet in Hanoi on November 11 evening in honour of President Donald Trump and his delegation, President Tran Dai Quang congratulated the US President on his effective and successful working days within the framework of the APEC 2017 Economic Leaders’ Meeting in the central city of Da Nang as contributions to the success of the event.

He hailed the US President’s visit as an important milestone that opens a great future for the two countries to continue writing new chapters of history.

The Vietnamese State leader showed his belief that comprehensive, stable and mutually-beneficial ties between Vietnam and the US will be a positive factor in making important contributions to maintaining peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
