Vietnam ready to work with Czech Republic on visa-related issue

According to numerous media sources on July 18, the government of the Czech Republic has suspended the long-term work visa application by Vietnamese nationals for their employment and business purposes. Vietnamese have been recognized as a minority community in the Czech Republic since 2013 and are the third largest in the European nation behind Ukraine and Slovakia.

Regarding the recent US-China trade friction, the spokesperson said Vietnam regards trade disputes as issues that must be addressed through negotiations and dialogues, based on international law and regulations for the legitimate rights of parties for peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

The US-China trade war is on the brink of escalation as President Donald Trump’s administration is destined to raise import tariffs by 10% on Chinese goods worth US$ 200 billion, which is most likely to come into force as of September 2018.
