Vietnam, China reinforce ties between their parties
The Chinese delegation is on a working visit to Vietnam to attend the 14th theoretical workshop between the two Parties.
At the reception, the Party chief highlighted the Chinese delegation’s Vietnam visit as a positive contribution to fostering friendship and cooperation between the two nations and welcomed the theme of the workshop, which features Vietnam’s experience during its “Doi moi” (Renewal) process and China’s open-door policy reform.
Regular exchanges between the two Parties in these fields are essential and productive, Trong said, affirming that the Party, State and people of Vietnam always place great importance on developing friendly neighbourhood and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership with China.
He asked the two sides to maintain high-level delegation exchange and step up cooperation across various fields while intensifying exchanges between Party agencies, ministries, departments, localities, and peoples. Media agencies play a crucial role in reinforcing Vietnam-China relations, the Party leader noted.
Huang Kunming conveyed the best regards of General Secretary of the CPC and President Xi Jinping to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and he showed elation at his Vietnam visit to witness the recent socio-economic achievements of the country.
The Chinese official used this occasion to introduce his country’s outstanding socio-economic achievements as well as theoretical developments of the CPC since its 19th Congress.
He told his host that the Chinese Party and Government desire to develop traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership with Vietnam in a healthy, active, and stable manner, adding that his nation wants to discuss more with Vietnam about renovations and open-door reforms.
The same day, Politburo member, Secretary of the CPV Central Committee, and head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education Vo Van Thuong held talks with Huang Kunming, during which they informed each other about the situation of their respective party and proposed measures to further strengthen the two countries’ relations.
