According to the latest report from the General Department of Taxation, in the first 11 months of 2017 the tax authorities have implemented 336 administrative procedures. Of which there were 122 online public services at level 4; 5 online public services at level 3; 48 online public services at level 2 and 161 online public services at level 1.

In implementing Resolution No. 36a / NQ-CP, the General Department of Taxation is carrying out e-invoices nationwide. In which the tax authorities actively support small and medium enterprises to make electronic invoices verified by the tax authorities. As of 15 November 2017, the total number of verified invoices was more than 5.3 million invoices with the total tax of over 3.2 trillion VND.

In terms of e-tax declaration, the General Department of Taxation has piloted electronic tax declaration for house leasing at Hanoi Tax Department and Ho Chi Minh Tax Department. The report shows that as of 15 November 2017, 37,903 declarations were submitted to the tax authorities and 28,368 accounts were registered with the tax authorities

At present, the General Department of Taxation has also linked data with three commercial banks (Vietcombank, Vietinbank, Agribank) and are disseminating information to people using the service.

Notably, in terms of e-tax refund, from 1 August 2017, the General Department of Taxation has extended e-tax refunds to 63 tax departments in order to apply to export and investment enterprises. As of 15 November 2017, 2,952 enterprises submitted declarations of e-tax refund with a total of 7,643 dossiers. The total tax proposed to be refunded to this moment has been more than 37,528 billion VND. Of which, 4,845 dossiers have been processed with the total returned amount of 26,344 billion VND. The implementation of e-tax refund service is on a schedule set out by the tax authorities.

In December 2017, for the implementation of electronic invoices with authentication code, the tax authorities will continue to support the deployment of 200 enterprises in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. At the same time, the General Department of Taxation is also coordinating with the Ministry of Finance to develop a decree replacing Decree 51/2010 / ND-CP and Decree No. 04/2014 / ND-CP according to the comments of the Government members to submit to the Government in December 2017 as expected. Tax authorities are also drafting e-invoices management procedures.
