President Quang begins State visit to Egypt

Those among welcoming guests at Luxor International Airport included Luxor Governor Mohamed Badr along with provincial officials, Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt Do Hoang Long and his wife, and Vietnamese Embassy staff.

After more than half a century, the friendship between Vietnam and Egypt, cultivated by generations of the two countries leaders and peoples, has become shared pride and treasure of the two nations.

The ties of friendship and all-around cooperation between Vietnam and Egypt have seen strong development over the past years.

This is the first visit to Egypt by a head of the State of Vietnam since both nations established diplomatic ties in 1963.

The trip is to reaffirm commitments that both sides signed in 2017, and promote measures to step up bilateral cooperation across a variety of fields such as politics, economics trade, investment, culture and education.

With the determination of senior leaders, and great support from every ministry, sector, locality, business and citizen of the two countries, it is hoped that the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Egypt will grow and flourish extensively for interests of each nation, as well as for peace, stability and development in the region and the world.
