PM Phuc arrives in Belgium for 12th ASEM Summit

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his delegation arrived in Brussels, Belgium, on the afternoon of October 16 (local time), where he is scheduled to attend the 12th ASEM Summit, make an official visit to Belgium and pay a working visit to the European Union (EU)

Immediately after his arrival, Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel hosted a welcoming ceremony for PM Phuc at the Palais d'Egmont Palace.

PM Charles Michel invited his guest to step up onto the podium before the national anthems of the two countries were played.

PM Phuc were invited to step down on the red carpet, heading to the Palais d'Egmont Palace.

The two Prime Ministers introduced members of their high-ranking delegations.

PM Phuc is due to hold talks with his Belgian counterpart and witness the signing of a number of cooperation documents between the two countries’ ministries, sectors and during his visit to Belgium.

The Vietnamese government leader's attendance at the 12th ASEM Summit and visits are being made at the invitation of President of the European Council Donald Tusk, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker and Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel.
