Party Leader packs busy schedule into day 2 of Cambodia visit
On July 21, the day starts with a cordial reception hosted by Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen for Party Leader Trong in the province of Preah Sihanouk.
At the reception, Prime Minister Hun Sen tells Party Leader Trong that he ascribes Cambodian development achievements over the past 38 years to the close relationship among the two parties, governments and peoples.
Party Leader Trong, in turn, expresses his faith that the trust, good neighbourly relations, traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries will drive future development to new heights.
On July 21, Party Leader Trong next meets with the Most Venerable Monk Tep Vong at Unalom Pagoda and the Most Venerable Monk Bukri at Svay Pope Pagoda in Phnom Penh.
At the meeting, Most Venerable Monk Tep Vong and Bukri express their gratitude to the Vietnamese people for their great support and voice their conviction that the strong relationship between the two countries will continue to thrive.
Next, Party Leader Trong delivers a speech at the Vietnam Embassy after which he talks one on one with embassy staff and representatives of the Overseas Vietnamese community in Cambodia.
Later, on July 21, at a meeting at the Vietnam Embassy in Cambodia, Party Leader Trong presents US$100,000 to representatives of the Overseas Vietnamese community for social welfare projects.
Near the end of the day, Party Leader Trong meets Men Son On, Deputy Prime Minister and Chair of the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Association.
