Overview of President Quang’s visits to Russia, Belarus
President Quang arrived in Moscow on June 28 afternoon, starting his four-day official visit to Russia.

President Quang met with members of the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association and the Russia Union of Veterans who formely worked in Vietnam at the Hanoi-Moscow Culture and Trade Center on late June 28.
He also had a meeting with Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko the same day.
The President and other high-ranking Vietnamese officials met the overseas Vietnamese community at the Hanoi-Moscow multifunctional complex.
On the morning of June 29, Mr Quang and the Vietnamese delegation laid flowers at the Ho Chi Minh Statue in Moscow and planted a tree at the Ho Chi Minh Square.
President Quang met Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
The Vietnamese State leader and PM Medvedev shared high determination to lift bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership to a new height.
President Quang held talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
At the talks, the Russian leader affirmed that the country considers Vietnam one of the priorities in the Asia-Pacific region and is keen on boosting cooperation with Vietnam in all fields.
The two presidents witnessed the signing of cooperation deals between the two countries after the talks.
The two sides issued the joint statement.
The President had a meeting with leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF) Gennady Zyuganov in Moscow on June 29.
Mr Quang visited the Vietnam Embassy in Moscow.
Vietnam always welcomes and wishes to receive investments from Russia, especially in the fields of energy, oil and gas exploitation and refinery, industrial equipment and auto manufacturing, said President Quang at a Vietnam-Russia economic seminar in Moscow.
The President met Chairman of the State Duma of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin on the morning of June 30 in Moscow.
President Quang, his wife and other high-ranking Vietnamese officials left Moscow on June 30 for Saint Petersburg.
The State leader laid a wreath at the Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery which is dedicated to victims of the Siege of Leningrad and soldiers of the Leningrad Front.
President Quang and his entourage came to see Russia’s historic cruiser Aurora, which took part in World War I and II. The President and Vietnamese delegation arrived at Noi Bai Airport on the morning of July 2, successfully ending visits to Russia and Belarus.
Earlier on June 26-28, President Quang paid a State visit to Belarus at the invitation of his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko.
Immediately after his arrival in Minsk, the President met representatives of the Belarus-Vietnam Friendship Association and Belarusian war veterans who joined Vietnam in its patriotic war.
On June 26, President Quang and his entourage met Vietnamese Embassy staff and overseas Vietnamese representatives and students in Belarus.
The official welcome ceremony for President Quang and Vietnamese delegation took place at Independence Palace in Minsk on June 27.
President Quang held talks with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko.
After the talks, the two presidents signed a joint statement on developing comprehensively and intensively the bilateral partnership and witnessed the signing of cooperation documents between the two sides.
Mr Quang met Belarusian Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov,
and Chairman of the House of Representatives under Belarus’s National Assembly Vladimir Andreichenko.
President Quang and the Vietnamese delegation left Minsk on June 28, successfully ending the visit to Belarus. Pictured is the two presidents signed the joint statement.
