On the morning of November 19, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted an official welcoming ceremony for his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is on a two-day visit to Vietnam from November 18-19 at the invitation of PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

The visit takes place in the context when both countries celebrate the Vietnam Year in Russia and Russia Year in Vietnam during 2019-2020, the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on fundamental principles of Vietnam – Russia friendship in 2019 and the 70th founding anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties in 2020.
